Bake Cupcakes
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare cake mix as directed and fill liners 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
Make Frosting
- Beat softened butter until creamy.
- Add powdered sugar gradually, mixing well.
- Stir in vanilla and salt.
- Add milk/cream until frosting is fluffy and pipeable.
Decorate Ghosts
- Fill piping bag with frosting.
- Pipe tall swirls onto cupcakes to create ghost shapes.
- Add mini chocolate chips or candy eyes for the face.
Notes
- Chill frosting for 10 minutes if too soft.
- Try pumpkin spice or red velvet cupcakes for variety.
- Bake cupcakes a day ahead, frost before serving.
